NAHASDA Indian Housing Block Grant Annual Internal Review
December 2, 2013
Hello Everyone! The freezing weather is here again and so is the time for year-end reports and monitoring of programs. As a NAHASDA Indian Housing Block Grant recipient, our department must complete an annual internal review. Self-Monitoring is intended to provide reasonable assurance that program goals and objectives are met, resources are adequately safeguarded and efficiently used, reliable data obtained, maintained and disclosed in reports, and policies and regulations are compliant at all levels and in all functions. Our Accountant, Christopher Donn, Accounting Specialist, Cindy Keener and Safety Program Coordinator, Chelsea Leppanen conducted the review for the period of October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2013. Thank you all for your assistance. No open findings or areas of noncompliance were found. The results have been posted for public review and comment at our offices and post office in Sutton until December 19, 2013. Please contact me with any questions at (907) 745-0749. Tsin’aen (Thank you). Samantha Ange, Facilities Director

Our Thanksgiving Elders Lunch will be Thursday, November 21, 2013 starting at Noon. Our Elders Lunch Program Staff Members will be fixing the turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and a vegetable. Lunch will be potluck, so if you are coming, we could use relish trays, salads, desserts, and dinner rolls. We will play BINGO after lunch for those who want to try their luck. With the weather so unpredictable, please drive carefully and remember to wear good shoes or boots for icy weather.
