IN 10 YEARS… IN 20 YEARS…
The Matanuska Valley provides abundant habitat for indigenous plants and animals, and a wide array of human activities.
The Matanuska Valley is a source of education, personal enjoyment, nourishment, and livelihood, providing space for cultural and social gatherings.
The community serves as a model in ecosystem based planning, which combines traditional knowledge and scientific research, and is accepting of all ideas and people.
As residents, we are employed in locally owned, low impact businesses that protect, restore, and foster local and wild food sources. We also utilize renewable, sustainable, and affordable energy sources.
We maintain our strong and healthy communities and lands to support the health of the Matanuska Valley, now and in the future.
